American Colonial sterling silver tankard. Made by Reed & Barton in Taunton, Mass. Girdled upward tapering bowl with spread foot. Cover hinged and stepped with twisted finial. S-scroll handle with scrolled thumb rest and terminal in form of naïve face.
Based on the original in the Winterthur Museum by the Midnight Rider himself. A great piece to have on hand when America celebrates its 250th birthday in 2026.
In original case with anti-tarnish bag and gloves. Case stamped “The Paul Revere Tankard / An authentic reproduction / in sterling silver / Limited Edition”.
Tankard marks include maker’s stamp, edition statement “Limited Edition 1000 / Registered No. 8”, and phrases “Winterthur / Reproduction” and “Original Tankard Designed by / Paul Revere”. Very good condition.
