Danish Baroque Classical silver tankard, early 18th century. Urn bowl on 3 splayed claw and ball supports; scroll handle with engraved diaper terminal. Cover hinged and bellied with ball thumb rest. Embossed floral and rinceaux ornament on bowl. Cover top has leafing scrollwork surrounding inset coin; thumb rest same. Engraved inscription on front “L. R. S. Usnesrangen / G. H . D / 1727”. Visible handwork. Marked. Good condition with deep patina. Some dents.
