French 19th Century Oak Buffet a Deux Corps
-
Description
A handsome 19th century French oak buffet a deux corps, composed of a glass-fronted vitrine above two drawers and a closed cabinet in the lower body. The upper body has two original glass-front bookcase doors, like a bibliotheque, to display books and collections on the two stationary shelves, 13” deep. A working lock (and key) can be seen on the right-side door, while the left door hooks onto the lower shelf. In the base cabinet, two drawers to keep small items organized are defined by turned wood knobs projecting from recessed cups set within the drawer front. A wide, spacious cabinet can be found behind the two paneled, locking doors, with a stationary shelf, 14 ¼” deep, to maximize the storage potential for your kitchen, dining, room, or study. Shaped bracket feet lift the case from the floor. Make sure to view the detailed images to get a closer look at the great patina and quality craftsmanship. Cleaned, tightened, and polished with a French paste wax, ready to join your interior.
