Beautiful Mid-Century Modern dining table by AH McIntosh of Kirkcaldy, circa 1960’s. Amazing design and construction detail, with one built-in self-storing leaf. With modernist elegant lines, this round dining table measures 44 7/8″ in diameter. Featuring richly gleaming teak, beautiful grain exposure and smooth, clean lines characteristic of classic Danish design. Remaining in original stunning condition throughout. This remarkable table is raised on rounded removable legs, which provides stable support. Features one 17 3/8″ concealed self-storing butterfly-form leaf extending to an oval table, measuring 62 3/8″ long with one leaf. The crafty butterfly leaf conveniently concealed under the table completely out of sight. Simply pull on both ends to extend the table allowing the folding butterfly leaf to easily pivot up and unfold. Label is attached ( A. H. McIntosh & CO LTD Kirkcaldy SCOTLAND) to underside.

Condition Report: Very good vintage condition with minimal age wear. The table surface is slightly lighter than the leaf. Construction is strong and sturdy. This is a wonderful table that offers one large leaf, changing it from a round table to a large oval table. The leaf is 17 3/8″ across, making this a versatile piece indeed, built to last the test of time. Base is stable and sturdy; Original clean surface throughout, with rich beautiful grain, minor surface wear, very sturdy.
