French 19th Century Painted Enfilade
-
Description
This striking French 19th century enfilade would be a fine addition to any room, with its narrow proportions and weathered slate blue finish over pine construction. The exterior shows wonderful texture from a century of use, with patina etched in the cloudy paint revealing streaks of light wood grain below. Four paneled doors–uninterrupted by visible hardware–open by lock and key, with one key shared between both pairs of doors. The unpainted interior is divided into two identical cabinets, each offering a fixed shelf, 37 ¾” wide by 12” deep. An understated plinth base retains a dark blue painted finish underneath the layers of patina. Cleaned and tightened, this unique enfilade is ready for your interior.
