French 18th Century Walnut Farm Table
-
Description
An astonishing 18th century French walnut farm table of robust proportions and two equally amazing drawers. The simple plank top in breadboard arrangement has many layers of patina over the chestnut-toned grain, Much like a Parsons table, the apron and solid legs are proportionate, making a clean, linear profile. Each end of the apron houses a drawer, opened by turned wood knobs, that are a most unusual 36 ½” long offering plenty of storage space. Stretchers placed between the legs on the (short) ends of the table make this a great option as a work table or desk. This rustic, European-scaled solid walnut farm table is long but thin for intimate meals and long conversations. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready to join your interior.
