This striking pair of armchairs was designed and produced in the Turin region of Italy in the early 1950s.
The design is distinguished by the geometric, angular lines of the armrests and legs. The bicolor upholstery, in a muted yellow ochre/mustard and navy fabric, accentuates the distinctive shape of the chairs. The bouclé fabric adds a refined, tactile texture that enhances their visual and sensory appeal. The elongated, tapered legs, crafted from solid walnut, are set at an angle.
The pair is in very good condition, having been recently reupholstered. The walnut legs are also in very good condition, with only minor wear consistent with age and use.
