Set of Two 'Cosmos' Lounge Chairs by Augusto Bozzi for Saporiti, Italy 1954
-
Description
Introducing a distinguished pair of "Cosmos" lounge chairs, masterfully designed by Augusto Bozzi for Saporiti Italia in 1954.
Design
These iconic pieces exemplify mid-century Italian design, featuring black-coated metal wireframes complemented by solid brass feet. The chair’s open framework and asymmetrical lines reflect Bozzi’s affinity for sculptural forms. The elegant contrast between the geometric base and organic seating form is reminiscent of both Scandinavian and Bauhaus influences.
Each chair bears the original manufacturer's label on its frame, attesting to their authenticity and heritage.
Condition
The chairs have been meticulously reupholstered in a luxurious raspberry-colored fabric, a rich melange of deep red and purple-blue tones. This high-quality fabric has been entirely hand-stitched, ensuring both durability and a refined appearance. The internal foam has been renewed to provide optimal comfort, making these chairs not only visually striking but also exceptionally comfortable.
They are in excellent condition; the seating areas are pristine, while the frames exhibit minor signs of wear consistent with their age and use. -
