French 19th Century Confiture Cabinet
-
Description
French 19th century Louis Philippe style “confiture” cabinet for jams and other preserves, handmade from oak and walnut. Like a compact enfilade, the low and wide cupboard offers a wide drawer–divided in the center–over a paneled door defined by lovely turned wood knobs. Inside the cabinet is one stationary shelf, 13 ⅜” deep, leaving approximately 12” of height above and below–just enough space to turn this antique cupboard into a dry bar for wines and spirits. Classic Louis Philippe feet of angular silhouette raise the piece off the floor. Cleaned, tightened, and polished with a French paste wax, ready for your interior.
