Description
Exceptional. late 19th century nutwood half cabinet or so-called "vertiko" from the historism period in Austria. This beautiful designed half cabinet from around 1880 shows an absolutely spectacular veneer work. Artfully handcarved solid nut wood carvings on the pilasters confer this antique cabinet a really unique appearance. A fantastic highlight are the outstanding designed doors which impress with large mirror-matched burr walnut inlays. The storage room behind the doors is divided into four ebonized compartments. An additional, practical drawer with nice brass fittings at the top and a traditional hand-polished shellac finish finalizes the extraordinary look of this outstanding late 19th century half cabinet.
