Victorian Classical sterling silver bowl. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1870. Leaf-form gondola with tendril volute stem and tip. Pierced rudder. Cast figure of winged cherub manning the oversized oars to ferry diners not to the next world but to the next course. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, date letter, and no. 115. Very good condition.
