A well cast bronze of a reclining man after Auguste Rodin. This piece is second state. The original was part of his homage to Dante’s Gates Of Hell. Widely acknowledged as one of our best sculptors here you see hints of the expressionistic work that would dominate the 20th century. The Kiss & the Thinker are Rodin’s most recognizable works.
