Georgian Mahogany Mechanical Bellows
-
Description
Unusual early 19th century English mahogany and brass mechanical bellows for stoking a fire by blowing air into it to make it burn better. This clever contraption consists of a mahogany handle over mahogany wheels and body connected by a string cable to a hand-turned crank system that gathers air and ejects it through a brass nozzle - still quite functional and decorative.
