Midcentury Modern sterling silver box. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Rectangular with flat and hinged cover. Sides and front have wraparound low-relief band of imbricated chevrons. A stylish revival of a historic 19th-century pattern that is called Wave Edge. Box interior cedar-lined. Fully marked including maker's stamp and postwar pattern no. 23847. Very good condition.
