Although much of the glass made in the 60's and 70's is white or translucent, works by Vistosi are best characterized by the incorporation of a wide range of vibrant colors, which stand in contrast, enhancing visual appeal. The many collaborations with other artists resulted in collections that include a varied mix of classic, modern and eclectic designs that incorporate traditional and contemporary methods to produce the shapes and textures associated with Vistosi glass. Although most work is well documented, there are often limited additions and even the occasional one-off, reflecting the fluidity of the designs and highlighting the unique one of a kind quality intrinsic to hand crafted glass.
