‎It is simply impossible to talk about 20th century lighting design without mentioning Finland and the Finnish “masters of light”. By the 1950s and 60s, Finland had established itself as a force for innovation in design.

Like most lighting fixtures of the period, the design of these wall lamps assumes a more minimalist look, yet is coupled with subtle decorative elements that add to the uniqueness of the pair. The materials chosen for their creation speak to the designer's commitment to quality and longevity. Brass, a quintessential material in 1960s design, constitutes the lamps’ back-plates, and stem providing a durable and lustrous foundation.
