Description
Amazing rare set of six dining chairs model 255 designed by Henning Kjaernulf for Bruno Hansen, Denmark 1960. These dining chairs showcases the refined artistry of mid-century Danish design.
Crafted from rich rosewood, each chair is distinguished by a beautifully sculptural back that not only enhances the visual appeal but also offers excellent support. They have a very unique structure with an independent curved backrest and two V-shapes. The beautiful appearance and the airy, relaxed feel make it a light but complete piece with a strong presence. If you look carefully, you can see that the legs and back frame have been thoughtfully designed, with gentle curves and nicks carved out of the frame. The design features seamless connections that highlight the craftsmanship typical of Scandinavian furniture making.
This set is in excellent condition; the seats are newly upholstered with off-white bouclé fabric, provide a striking contrast against the dark wood and they are completely structural checked so ready to use. All chairs are marked with stamps underneath the seat. A real nice catch for any modern home, office or interior. -
