Acorn sterling silver salt and pepper. Made by Georg Jensen in Copenhagen. Salt: Round and curved bowl; interior cobalt enameled. Open support comprising leaf-capped volute scrolls mounted to acorn; stepped and raised foot. With spoon. Pepper: Ovoid bowl; cover domed with pierced flutes and acorn finial. Open support comprising leaf-capped volute scrolls mounted to bead; stepped and raised foot.
All pieces fully marked including postwar maker’s stamp. Salt and pepper have designer’s stamp (Johan Rohde) and no. 741. Pepper and spoon have English import marks including London assay stamp and 1960 (pepper) and 1962 (spoon) date letters. Very good condition.
