Art Nouveau glass vase with engraved silver overlay by historic Loetz, ca 1900. Ovoid with pinched shoulder. Overlay pattern comprising vertical ovals inset with entwined loops rising to leafing stem. Glass iridescent gold and purple with bands of white irregular chevrons and scattered oval flowerheads. The works! A small-scale distillation of fin-de-siecle Austrian design. Pontil mark. Very good condition.
