David Gil for Bennington Potters Ceramic Abstract Sculpture Bust Ceramic/Lucite
-
Description
Made by David Gil for his company Bennington Potters, this is one of the earliest exampels of his work. Featuring a split design, each side of a lucite column has half of a head glued to it, with each side marked by mysterious numbers. Set on a cherry base, the nature of this design begs the question: what do you think it's trying to tell you?
In good vintage and original condition. Lucite has mild crazing around the bends, but no chips or cracks. It's been in my personal collection for many years, and I'm proud to offer it for sale in this condition. Signed on the interior of the left head when viewed from the front, hard to see & photograph. -
