Two pairs of Medallion coin silver salt and peppers. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1860. Each salt: Round and curved hemispheric bowl on raised foot.
Each pepper: Straight and tapering bowl on raised foot; cover pierced with finial (finials different). All pieces have applied and stippled rondels with Classical profiles. Salts and pepper have engraved interlaced script monogram. Marked with maker’s stamp and no. 500 (pepper) and salt (520).
With: Two Medallion sterling silver salt spoons. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1864. Each: Tapering stem and round gilt-washed bowl. Stippled rondel terminal with Classical profile surmounted by leaf and scrolls. Script monogram. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and patent year (1864). Very good condition.
