Paul Storr Georgian Regency Classical Covered Serving Dishes 1815
-
Description
Pair of George III sterling silver covered serving dishes. Made by Paul Storr in London in 1815.
Each: Rectangular bowl with tapering sides and lobed corners; cover raised and lobed. Twist-lock leaf-capped bracket handle on lion heads resting on massive paws; flowerhead mount. Gadrooned rims and borders.
A stately twosome—make that foursome because the covers convert to bowls. In full working order for another century or two of dinner parties.
Fully marked. Very good condition with attractive signs of past use.
