Description
Large 1960s Vistosi Model #L261 "Comare" Blown Murano Glass Suspension Lamp.
Executed in blown Murano glass with chromed metal hardware, this sculptural suspension lamp features a distinctive shade with a gradual gradient in the glass that pleasingly diffuses its warm glow. Vistosi's blending of organic curves with minimalistic design are characteristic of Italian midcentury design of the era. Unmarked.
Vistosi was founded by Guglielmo Vistosi in Murano in 1945. His sons Gino and Luciano Vistosi dedicated their lives to the art of shaping Murano glass to create unique and sculptural pieces, which are still sought after by collectors today.
