Alex P White
Based in New York and Los Angeles, Alex P White is an interior designer admired for his provocative, unconventional style. Alex’s background in fine art and performance provides a strong foundation and unique point of view for the self taught designer. Known for his custom, highly curated environments, Alex’s small boutique studio assures clients a highly personalized, hands on experience with an emphasis on artist collaborations and collecting. His portfolio includes commissions for high profile creatives in the worlds of entertainment, fashion and technology.
Staff
Alex worked with the acclaimed interior designer, Kelly Behun as her lead designer overseeing custom artworks, furniture and interiors for over a decade. Alex co-curated the critically acclaimed design show, AFTER with Kelly at R & Company in 2012 where the duo designed and debuted a furniture collection for the exhibition. His last project with Kelly before starting his own design studio in 2017 was the show penthouse for 432 Park Avenue in New York City. The model apartment received numerous accolades in the design and real estate press and sold fully furnished facilitating an impressive three unit deal.
Alex debuted his first solo furniture collection during NY Design Week in 2015 for Sight Unseen OFFSITE and was the recipient of the American Design Hot List Award. Architectural Digest named him “Ones To Watch" and Wendy Goodman, design editor of New York Magazine, featured his work in Design Hunting as a NY Design Week standout. Alex’s work has been published in The New York Times, T Magazine, Wallpaper, New York Magazine, Architectural Digest, AD Italia, Elle Decor and Elle Decor UK. Alex has shown his solo and collaborative works in museums, galleries, and alternative art spaces across the US including standouts: The Tang Museum, R & Company, Regina Rex, Participant Inc, Movement Research at Judson Church and Night Gallery in LA.
Alex is busy designing his next furniture collection and completing a 10,000 sq ft renovation for a residence in Beverly Hills.
