Tim Button, a partner with John Stedila in SDI since 1980, graduated from Parsons School of Design's Environmental Design program. His expertise and sensibility to “green” design has made him sought after by clients in the commercial and hospitality field as well as in the high-end residential market that the firm is known for. In his long association with Albanese Development and architects Pelli Clark Pelli, Button has changed the way people live in an urban environment. His 25-year relationship with Louis Boston has again drawn attention as he creates their new, modernist envelope along the Boston waterfront.

John Stedila draws inspiration from classical forms. Even though his firm's and his own aesthetics lean towards the modern, Stedila effortlessly blurs the lines as is evidenced in his Hampton residence, which has been published in Elle Décor and Hamptons Cottages & Gardens. A graduate of Parsons School of Design, Stedila gained expertise in retail design during his eight years with three leading retail design firms before starting his own company in 1973. His experience with Raymond Loewy, considered one of the most influential designers of the 20th century, was invaluable. Macy's, F.W. Uhlman, Botticelli Shoes and Louis Boston are among the firm's retail clients. Stedila's passion also includes residential where he has designed homes for fashion designers such as Perry Ellis and Calvin Klein. The Klein commission came about when the designer saw Stedila's apartment published in Glamour.
