Founded in NYC in 1998, Thom Filicia Inc. quickly gained recognition for it's unique aesthetic and approach to design. Thom's dedication to creating spaces that are both timely yet timeless - spaces that reflect his respect for classic simplicity with an unexpected modern flair - has attracted a diverse roster of residential and commercial clients, including Tina Fey, Delta Air Lines, Jennifer Lopez, Radio City Music Hall, W Hotels, Peter Jennings, as well as many others in the wolrds of finance, sports, media, fashion, real estate and hospitality.
Thom Filicia Inc. has done work around the globe, including the US Pavilion at the World's Fair in Aichi, Japan, an eco-friendly apartment in Manhattan's first premium (LEED certified) green luxury condominium, the first-ever outdoor Sky Decks at Delta Sky Clubs in the Atlanta and New York JFK airports, W Hotels throughout the country, as well as projects in Miami and the Caribbean. Although every TFI interior is born of the same well-honed approach to aesthetic, the results are as different as our clients.
Whether a loft in Manhattan, a home in the Hamptons or a hotel in Los Angeles, each project is thoughtfully discussed with the client to draw out their vision and create an environment that speaks to the way in which they live. With respect to the architecture, function and location, every interior is crafted to create a unique and elegant environment defined by beauty, comfort and style. From his start at renowned design firms, including Parish-Hadley, Robert Metzger and Bilhuber & Associates, Thom Filicia launched his acclaimed enterprise, Thom Filicia Inc. and emerged as one of today’s most influential and respected interior designers. His clients range from Tina Fey, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Jennifer Lopez, Delta Air Lines, W Hotels, Grace Bay Club, and Peter Jennings, to those in the worlds of finance, sports and fashion. Gaining fame on the Emmy-winning Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Style Network and HGTV, he is a best-selling author and has been praised as a “Top 100 Designer” by House Beautiful and an “A-List” designer by Elle Décor. He is also the driving force behind the Thom Filicia Home Collection, which includes furniture, artwork, rugs, textiles and much more. Filicia also has a to-the-trade showroom, called Sedgwick & Brattle, at the New York Design Center in NYC.
