This luxurious residence at 1706 Rittenhouse Square celebrates the sweeping views and visual freedom of contemporary city living. Distinctive textures, an evocative palette, and unusual wood species create a bold statement in the expansive public rooms and children’s spaces. The 360 degree views and floor-to-ceiling windows dictated that the cityscape was an integral component of the apartment’s aesthetic. In some areas, it is a serene backdrop to complement the clients’ growing art collection; in others the design pushes back visually against the skyline with bold, crisp color blocks.
Elegant natural materials were used throughout the interior, such as walnut, lacquered mahogany, gilded wood, tortoise shell tile, bronze, silk, bamboo, natural linen, and Calacatta marble.
