Haverford Original
This project represents the challenging aesthetic marriage of the two divergent backgrounds of its newlywed owners: his dramatic Southern California and her exotic Dutch-Indonesian. Total renovation transformed this proper 1930’s Georgian structure into an oasis of rich colors, sensual textures and gleaming woods. Fiber-optic lighting systems add drama, precision and special effects. Large-scale entertaining required tremendous flexibility in furniture layouts and demanded durable materials. The dining room’s design responded directly to our client’s dream of “a restaurant, not a dining room,” seating 2 to 32 in equally gracious style. Intriguing sculptural furniture forms undulating planes unusual color palettes, natural materials and Asian antiquities celebrates their unique cultural heritage.
