2. Cheswold Carriage House by Eberlein Design Consultants

Interiors by Eberlein Design Consultants

This inviting and beautifully detailed family residence is located on the grounds of the renowned estate “Cheswold,” which was designed by architects Furness & Evans in 1872 for Alexander Cassatt, president of The Pennsylvania Railroad. The home, designed for Cassatt’s daughter in 1902, originally served as a stable and later as a carriage house. After surviving a devastating fire, the residence’s interiors were thoughtfully restored, preserving numerous period details. In addition to a varied art collection that includes abstract works as well as classical paintings, the home features fine Chippendale and Federal furniture. Click here to view the full project.

3. SoHo Loft by Drew McGukin

Interiors by Drew McGukin Interiors

This Manhattan loft retains architectural remnants from its industrial past, including exposed brick walls and commanding wood columns. Designer Drew McGukin played up these historical elements with rustic furnishings and metal light fixtures with exposed bulbs. A spectacularly bold art collection adds a sense of contemporary sophistication to the home. Click here to view the full project.
