PAD London - Sept. 28–October 4, 2019
With a Collectors Preview on September 28 and running through October 4th in the heart of Mayfair, the highly acclaimed PAD (Pavilion for Art and Design) London opened to its 13th edition. Eleven new galleries joined the fold, bringing the count to 68 top international galleries from 14 countries in Europe, North America, Asia and South Africa exhibiting a curated collection of one-off and limited edition design and art. Both crowds and sales were extremely strong; the specter of Brexit seemed not to affect business at the show. Interior designers and collectors alike shopped avidly and quite a number of galleries, including Incollect dealer Portuondo Gallery, reported having to restock their stand multiple times due to strong sales.
