Together, they established their workshop Glassford Moncada in 2016 in Guadalajara, Jalisco; thriving in a strategic region where art, tradition and craftsmanship merged together with their exquisite taste and ideas. They shared mutual experiences and influences during their careers, harmonized by the rich local talent found in Jalisco, Mexico. This collective interest and subsequent marriage of two designers focuses on bringing unique beauty to practical needs.
Glassford Moncada is a studio-workshop in Mexico created by Isabel Moncada and Peter Glassford where furniture, lighting, jewelry, and objects are made. This space specializes in producing and perfecting all the pieces from start to finish, going through a meticulous stage of design, prototyping, sketching, and technical resolution to then do the manufacturing in their workshop, daily refining the necessary crafts in the style of classic workshops and collaborating with local expert craftsmen who make some parts of the pieces.
